MST REQUIRES FACE COVERINGS TO BOARD BUSES
DUE TO CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our employees, customers taking essential trips, and the community at large, MST CEO and General Manager, Carl Sedoryk has instituted a policy that will require all MST passengers over the age of 12 to wear a face mask to board an MST bus including MST RIDES buses. The new requirement will become effective at midnight Wednesday, April 29, 2020.
MST will continue to provide personal protective equipment to its employees including latex disposable gloves, disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer and face masks. MST also continues to disinfect its entire fleet each night with a hospital grade germicide, and has added mid-day cleanings as resources are available. Safety has always been a priority at MST, and now more than ever, MST is taking every step possible to protect its employees and passengers from contracting and/or spreading COVID-19.
“Safety is always our number one priority and while this change has not yet been ordered by the Monterey County Health Officer, it is consistent with what we are seeing occur at transit systems throughout the state and entire nation”, said Sedoryk.
