MST CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER RETIRES, REPLACED BY DEPUTY CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) is pleased to announce that Norman Tuitavuki has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Tuitavuki fills the vacancy of the previous Chief Operating Officer, Robert Weber who recently retired after 20 years of service. Mr. Tuitavuki’s first day in his new role began on January 9, 2021.
Mr. Tuitavuki joined the organization in 2017 as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer with more than 10 years of past public transit experience, supporting the Chief Operating Officer. His efforts were focused on leading the Maintenance Department where he successfully implemented numerous programs and improvements that enhanced overall performance and further strengthened the team. He reports directly to General Manager/CEO, Carl Sedoryk.
General Manager/CEO, Carl Sedoryk stated, “I am confident that Norm will be successful in his new role. His extensive experience and positive attitude, combined with the respect of his peers and staff make him the perfect candidate for this leadership position.”
Mr. Tuitavuki earned a bachelor’s degree in Management, a master’s degree in Transportation Management, a Transit Paratransit Management Certificate, and most recently completed the Transit Senior Executive Program from the Eno Center for Transportation.
