MST Celebrates 15 Years serving south county with free fares
MONTEREY, CA (May 1, 2017) — Monterey-Salinas Transit is celebrating our 15th anniversary of service to South County this year by providing free bus service on line 23 in South County on Thursday, May 4.
On that day, bus riders can enjoy free rides on bus line 23, connecting King City and Salinas, with stops in Greenfield, Soledad, Gonzales, and Chualar. Traveling with MST is even easier with our new and free transit app. The app finds your closest bus stop and gives real-time next bus arrivals. Find the app at Transitapp.com
MST representatives will be on hand that day at one of our Gonzales locations located at 5th Street and the Gonzales Shopping Center, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., giving away pens, mugs, bus banks, coloring books, and more. KLOK 1170-AM radio will also be broadcasting from Gonzales from 10 a.m.-noon.
In addition, MST will be giving out 15 free monthly passes. In the coming days, like MST on Facebook and you could win a free annual pass.
Monterey-Salinas Transit serves a 280 square-mile area of Monterey County including San Luis Obispo, Santa Cruz, and Santa Clara Counties with 55 routes serving an estimated 428,826 people.
