Monterey-Salinas Transit’s (MST) website is being translated through “machine translation” which means that it is translated instantly upon request by a computer program. Pages on this site are being translated by software from Google translation services rather than by human translators.

“Machine translation” is imperfect. It is intended to provide a basic understanding of the content, but the translation is literal and may misrepresent names and idiomatic expressions.

MST is using this “machine translation” because it is the most affordable and practical way to offer translated pages. Machine translation also eliminates delays in having text manually translated. With machine translation, new or revised text is translated immediately on request.
