How Measure Q funds are currently being spent
In July 2015, MST received its first monies collected from Measure Q sales tax. This funding has allowed MST to continue the vital services provided to seniors and people with disabilities including:
- Supporting the continuation of MST RIDES ADA paratransit
- Continuing the taxi voucher program for seniors and RIDES clients
- Providing travel training services
- Keeping offices open at both mobility centers in Monterey and Salinas
The Transit Investment Plan identifies programs and projects to be implemented in the first five years. Future projects and programs in years six through 10 will be reviewed and evaluated again when the Investment Plan is updated.
