Service changes for local bus transportation provided by Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) will go into effect Saturday, January 26, 2008. The following service will be changed or modified:

Salinas Transit Center: Gate departure & arrival locations have changed for Lines 2x, 20, 21, 23, 28, 44 and 45.

CSUMB Free Fare Zone: NEW for 2008 – Anytime you board Line 16 or MST On Call Marina at stops on the CSUMB campus, you pay no fare! (Regular fares apply for return trips to CSUMB from off-campus locations.)

Line 2 Express: 7:15 am trip from Monterey Transit Plaza and 4:35 pm trip to Monterey Transit Plaza are discontinued.

Line 6 Edgewater-Ryan Ranch: Morning schedule adjustments to improve on-time performance.

Line 16 Monterey-Marina: Minor schedule changes throughout the day to improve connectivity with other MST transit lines.

Line 20 Monterey-Salinas: New additional eastbound trip has been added leaving Monterey Transit Plaza at 4:30 pm.

NEW Line 23 Express: New bus line providing express service along the Salinas Valley during morning and evening rush hours. Buses make one stop each in King City, Greenfield, Soledad, Gonzales and Chualar on their way to/from downtown Salinas and Hartnell College. Free Wi-Fi Service is provided on most Line 23 Express buses.

Line 53 Monterey Peninsula-South County Express: This line has been discontinued.

Line 55 Monterey-San Jose Express: Slight schedule changes at Morgan Hill and Gilroy on weekday afternoons.
