Service changes for local bus transportation provided by Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) will go into effect Saturday, May 24, 2008. The following service will be changed or modified:

Monterey Transit Plaza: Gate location changes with slight route changes in the vicinity of Monterey Transit Plaza for Lines 1, 1x, 5, 7, 9, 10, 10x, 16, 20, 21, 22, 24, 38 and 56.

Salinas Transit Center: Gate departure and arrival locations have changed for Lines 20, 21 and 23.

DART: Now serves all of Cass Street.

Line 5: Route switched from Cass Street to Abrego.

Line 6: Morning schedule adjustments to improve on-time performance. Gate departure and arrival location change at Monterey Transit Plaza.

Line 16: Schedule changes throughout the day to improve connectivity with other MST transit lines. No service to VA Clinic on nights or weekends.

Line 20: Minor schedule changes. Gate departure and arrival location changes at Salinas Transit Center and Monterey Transit Plaza.

Line 22: Daily service returns through Labor Day Weekend with three round trips.

Lines 28 and 29: Minor route change in Watsonville on Riverside.

Line 38: Gate departure and arrival location change with slight schedule adjustments arriving at

Monterey Transit Plaza.

Line 39: Gate departure and arrival location change with slight schedule adjustments arriving at Salinas Transit Center.

Line 42: Minor route and stop changes near Westridge Center.

Line 45: Slight evening schedule adjustments to improve connectivity with other MST transit lines.

Line 55: Minor route and schedule changes in downtown Monterey. New stop added at Naval Post Graduate School on Del Monte Avenue.

Line 56: NEW limited service on weekends.

MST Trolley: Summer service begins on Memorial Day Weekend and runs through Labor Day.
