Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) will operate limited schedules for the upcoming holidays.

On Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24, 2009 and New Year’s Eve, Thursday, December 31, 2009 all routes will operate a Sunday schedule except line 55-San Jose and line 56-Monterey-Memorial Hospital, which will both operate weekday schedules.

On Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, 2009, and New Year’s Day, Friday, January 1, 2010 the following lines will operate a holiday schedule:

Line 1 Monterey
Line 2 Pacific Grove
Line 5 Carmel - Monterey
Line 9 Fremont - Hilby
Line 10 Fremont-Ord Grove - Monterey
Line 11 Carmel
Line 20 Salinas - Monterey
Line 41 East Alisal - Salinas

In addition to the routes listed above, Line 55 Monterey-San Jose Express will operate a Sunday schedule on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day and line 56 Monterey-Memorial Hospital will operate a weekday schedule on New Year’s Day. All other lines will not be in service on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day. Regular MST bus service will resume Saturday, December 26, 2009, and Saturday, January 2, 2010.

MST administrative offices in Monterey, customer service windows at the Salinas Transit Center, Marina Transit Exchange and MST Bus Stop Shop in downtown Monterey and MST phone lines will be closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. All MST offices and phone lines will reopen Monday, December 28, 2009 and Monday, January 4, 2010.
