MST PROVIDES FREE BUS SERVICE FOR BIG
SUR FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL

Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) will provide free bus service for the Big Sur Food and Wine Festival Saturday, November 7, 2009. All passengers on MST’s Line 22 Big Sur will ride free. No transfers will be given.

Line 22 Big Sur will depart the Monterey Conference Center at 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM and 10:40 AM. Those trips will continue to the Crossroads Shopping Center in Carmel where festival patrons are encouraged to park and board the bus leaving the stop on Rio Road at approximately 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 11:05 AM for the trip down to the festival. Look for the Big Sur Food and Wine Festival signs indicating where to board at the Crossroads bus stop.

Service between Big Sur River Inn and Nepenthe will be available every 10 to 15 minutes between 11 AM and 4 PM allowing patrons to enjoy all the festival has to offer.

Line 22 Monterey will depart Nepenthe at 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM on its regular route including pick ups at Big Sur River Inn all the way back to the Crossroads Shopping Center and finally the Monterey Conference Center.

This service is designed to make visits to the Big Sur Food and Wine Festival easier and more enjoyable, as well as to reduce traffic congestion. Save gas. Be a friend to the earth and join your fellow festival attendees as you admire the views.
